Indeed, how do you look Scottish? I am also one-eighth Scottish. Not sure what my Scottish great-grandfather looked like.
I often feel that my beard makes me look Scottish. But my regimental sergeant-major once kicked me off a parade because of it (I had permission to be bearded, and I was kilted that day).
Drac, I once knew a woman surnamed Lamont who insisted on pronouncing it the French way (la Mont). I knew no better at the time, but I read much later that the name was of Norwegian origin, means “lawman”, and is supposed to be pronounced as Lamb’nt.
But if you use the French pronunciation, that is not something I should pick you out about. I have enough problems with my own surname ;-)
