My parents divorced when I was an infant, my mom remarried and I took my (step)Dad's last name when I was 12. The last few years I've met members of my biological dad's family. I was supposed to meet my biological grandfather this week. Got the news that he died early Monday morning. Never met him or my biological grandma, who died before I started my quest to discover that side of my family. Was really looking forward to meeting the old man.
