Now, I'm generally a Guinness man, though not more than one or two a week, but October will be upon us in a matter of hours. I'm a huge Halloween fan, and in my book, it's been Halloween season for some weeks now. What all that means is that, until November first, Guinness has to take a back seat to pumpkin ale. Now, on to the glass...

My mom is a very sweet lady, and very crafty. One of the things she enjoys is painting on glass(you paint the glassware, let it dry, then bake the paint on in the oven). The below glass was her gift to me, this year. It started as your average British made pint glass, and then became something really special to me. In the picture, it's filled with Kennebunkport Pumpkin Ale...

    What a wonderful, heartfelt gift!
It's really adorable. And while I've never been able to really develop an appreciation for pumpkin ale, I could see a nice ESB in that glass... Or even an Oktoberfest.
