Has anyone given thought to the possibility that HRH was dressing to match his wife’s green outfit when he chose those socks?
The picture shows them as being black, light grey and light green, but I suspect that the “black” is actually tartan green, and so complements the Duchess’s outfit very well indeed. All he needed was the red flashes to “tie” the socks to his kilt.
