    Black Watch Hackle

This from the former Regimental Secretary of The Black Watch:

"The bonnet is worn with the bow at the back at the centre of the back of your head. The hackle is inserted through an incision in the bonnet two fingers in front of the left ear ( above the sideburns) and at the top of the buckram stiffening. You keep the hackle in place by using a safety pin on the inside of the bonnet".
