New Black Watch from SWK, and a question...
Here is my new Black Watch standard from SWK, which my wife generously bestowed upon me for my birthday last week. I like it (I'm especially impressed by the acryllic fabric, which looks just like heavyweight wool - without the weight), but my concern is with the length. Is it just me, or is this a smidge short? And I'm wearing it a bit lower at the waist that I normally wear a kilt. Comments?
P.S. I'm 6'3 in height....

if you are wearing it lower than normal, then it might be a wee short. The main consideration is if you like it that length or not. I usually consider it long enough it the endge hits my kneecap somwhere, top, middle or bottom. Above the kneecap is too short ( for my tastes ) but I have seen a great many pics, both current and historical where the "hem" of the kilt falls just above the kneecap.
as long as you are comfortable with it, and it isn't painfully high, I'd say it's fine. If you can see thigh, it is probably way too short.

Looks fine, but you are the final arbiter of that decision.
If you like it, it's right.
If you don't, it's not.
Objectively, there is nothing unusual about the length. If it works for you, it really does look great.

Looks good from here; the hem appears to be breaking right across the middle of the kneecap. The waist may be a bit low, but a lot of folks seem to prefer it that way. It only really presents a problem with a PC or when Highland dancing, when it can show quite a bit of shirt beneath the jacket. Otherwise it should be just fine with an Argyll like you have there. At 6'3" that's not a bad fit for an off-the-rack kilt.

The length looks fine to me, as long as it is comfortable you are all set!
You do need to shorten up your tie though!

I think it looks good too, but I think the hose could go a bit lower. Somewhere on the forum it was stated they should be 3 fingers or 4 fingers width below the bottom of the knee cap.
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

I don't think the kilt is too high at the hem the way you're wearing it in the picture. If it was me I'd even bring it up half an inch or so. I agree with sorcererdale that you could shorten the hose a bit though.
