Vas ist Der/Das? Translation: What is this/that in the masculine or neutral form. Der = masculine, Das = neutral, Die (DEE) = feminine. Although, I am not sure what emphasis the germans would put on a kilt and it's accessories, no offense to any of us, but it might be Vas ist die? since it is a kilt related item. To play it safe I would go with Vas ist das? in hte neutral format. Eitehr way, it is a german guy with a weird thing over his groin region, which goes hand in hand with their infamous "fetish" films.
