Personally I avoid all such products, preferring to wear my facial hair as God intended.

Well, actually, I used to bite off the ends of my moustache . . . until a few years ago when I lost an incisor crown doing that. So I invested in a nose and ear hair trimmer that does the job of trimming my moustache.
As for the length of my beard, I have it cut about once a year. This past year was exceptional, because (at my wife’s insistence) I had it cut twice, the first time for my son’s wedding, the second time for my daughter’s.
And Chelsea, let’s not go down that road . . . (although you might be interested in hearing my views in a PM).
