I'm heading to The Nutcracker later in the month and you-betcha I am going kilted (wife is now convinced that I am nuts but my daughter is all for it). I will wear the nice big black wool overcoat that I picked up a couple of years ago. I am surprised at just how warm and rainproof this sucker is. I'm a big proponent of the down coat but getting into kilts has reminded me of the incredible power of wool.
[edit] I found an interesting version referencing young men, youth and juvenile garments that talks about the cutting information as well. http://www.costumes.org/history/100p...ersguide1c.htm (Making your own patterns can be challenging if you haven't done it before.)
