I just ordered a pair in loden green! I have some cheap leather fingerless gloves I use when hiking, but they aren't warm in the least! I will be patiently waiting by the mailbox for them

Justin,
Thanks! :-) I'll pass that on to my wife and she'll be in touch.

I can think of another great advertising aspect you can make use of----they are iPhone, iPod and iPad compatible, along with all the other touch screen phones and devices, which will not work with gloved fingers (many elevator buttons too). I usually wear calfskin driving gloves in cool weather, but it bugs the crap out of me to have to rip one of them off when my phone rings to be able just to answer the darn thing, and I usually end up missing the call. Then I have to leave my glove off while I make the call back, or listen to the voicemail, or do whatever else I need to on the touch screen.
So you can advertise them as "iPhone, iPod, iPad, and other touch-screen friendly gloves".

Like Sir William, I've made great use of "wristers" when doing the 18 C. reenactment and period hunting thing. Loading and firing a flintlock requires some fine manipulations, and these items are great when the temperature drops.
Great looking mitts, Matt...!

I just got my gloves in today, and I love them! They are beautiful, comfortable and very warm- should be perfect for when I go to my parents' house on Christmas! Thanks Matthew, and please thank your wife for me too!

I saw an ingenious design of a mitten with an overlapped slot across the palm so the fingers could be freed and the finger end of the mitten folded back out of the way - I think there was a loop at the end and a button at the wrist to keep it neat.
With the top folded back they covered about the same amount of the hand as the fingerless gloves.
Once the task was completed the fingers were easily covered again - even if numb with cold.
The original pattern was knitted plain, but I'm sure the concept could be adapted to patterned to good effect if required.

These are also available in some stores, with the mitten flap being held back with a little piece of Vel-cro.
