The Illusionist - a movie by Sylvain Chomet

Sylvain Chomet, the director of The Triplets of Belleville, has a new animated movie, The Illusionist, adapted from a screenplay by Jacques Tati. It is the story of a French magician who travels to 1930's Scotland. There seems to be quite a lot of kilt action in the film.

The trailer may be seen HERE. (I recommend viewing it full screen.)

    The official website is HERE.

I've been waiting for this one to open in Chicago. At dinner last night, i told my wife that I was waiting for The Illusionist and the new True Grit to come to the theatres. I explained the premise of The Illusionist and that it was from the Triplets Of Belleville people and got a very discouraging look from my wife...she didn't like Triplets very much...oh well!
