Don't worry, cajunscot, I'm sure you all are considered pagans by some group or another.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Being an Episcopalian in the Bible Belt, you can bet on it, Ted.

Can't speak for the OP but I doubt it is meant to exclude anyone who wishes well for all mankind at this time of year.
I also honor and respect Christmas each year with my Christian companions.

And I, in turn, recognize the ancient origins of my faith's holy days & holidays.

May each of us take the time to wish all of those that we cherish a truly happy season! No matter what spice that each of us brings to this table, let none say that the meal of friendship here is ever bland. Cheers!
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

I have to say I really like your way of expressing.

No, it was not meant to exclude! It just didn't occur to me that Christians might observe the pagan holidays! If I could change the title, I would!

Much of the ancient customs of Yule have been adapted & adopted by Christians in our Christmas celebrations. It's not that that we celebrate "Pagan" holidays, but our celebrations certainly have some "Pagan" roots. In the Scandinavian countries, the terms "Yule" and "Christmastide" are synonymous.
The Yule Log, for example, was used in Christian England long before the German Christmas tree was introduced as part of the celebration.
This basic article provides a good explanation, even though it has no sources cited:
