For those interested Steve did post a message some time ago giving a topic for each month which I believe would start January 1 2011. I am sure a search using the search feature would turn up the original but this is what I saved from it
The X Marks Photo Of The Month Contest
________________________________________
Each month we will hold a contest for an X Marks Photo Of The Month.
The winning photo will be displayed on the Right Side Banner of the forum for all to see.
To keep the contest timely and to allow our members to prepare for each month's contest these are the topics for the next years' contests.
January - Winter fun.
February - Formal Outfits with your SO.
March - At the dance/theater
April - The return of Spring.
May - Cute kids
June - Getting married.
July - At the camp/picnic site.
Aug - Your local Highland Games.
Sep - The leaves of Fall
Oct - The dread Halloween photos
Nov - Remembering the fallen.
Dec - Ringing in the Holidays.
As posting and voting on a photo is held during one month and the actual photo displayed the following month the photo displayed will actually be a month old.
For example - During the month of December we will accept photos of you "Ringing In The Holidays" in your kilt. The winning photo will be displayed in January while we display and vote on the "Winter Fun" photos.
Any member may post as many photos as they wish.
Photos posted to the contest must adhere to the monthly topic to be considered.
Each months contest will run from the 1st of each month through until the 5th to the last day of that month. This is to allow sufficient time for our staff to review and vote on each photo.
The winner of each Photo of the Month Contest will receive a Silk Dandelion as a prize.
