Hip flexors, quads, lower back all ache

....from throwing discus and shot Saturday, and a bit of Scottish hammer on Sunday. This is not to mention the legs workout I did in the gym, today.

I figure this means I'm doing it more or less right. If it was my shoulders that hurt, that'd be a sign I was working the wrong muscle groups.

Alan, to what do you atribute the lower back pain? I exercise carefully with weights, but also have lower back problems. So far, because I don't load weight on my back, everything seems fine. I use the leg-press machine occasionally, but my doctor has not warned me to avoid it.

I'm not really sure. Honestly, it's more fatigue-discomfort than pain from damage. I threw shot and discus and my 25 pound Powerball yesterday and the same thing happened. However, after a nights sleep, everything is just fine.
