Search the forum threads and do some homework on Clansman Knitwear / Ralph Neilson before ordering.

I emailed our Clan Assoc. President. He has had dealings with Ralph and been satisfied in the past and up to as recent as this fall. I guess there are good and bad results dealing with Ralph. Like I said before...I'll just have to wait and hope.

Most of US cloth comes from overseas there are very few mills here.

In fact there is very little manufacturing of any type here anymore. The taxes became too onerous to deal with here and the cheap labour and highly networked global transportation, available in this age has pushed it all overseas.

I do believe that Woolrich weaves a nice cloth but they mostly make melton and coating fabric which is an entirely different sort of cloth compared to hard tartan.

Realized I went overboard. A lot of the reason why our labor costs too much is due to poorly designed tax programs. The same goes for the transportation.

We are the only country which allows companies to do overseas operational deductions, but without taxing those profits.
