UT Kilts Review and My Thoughts

    Good Day to everyone!

    My thoughts on UT Kilts....

About a week ago I started a thread stating that I had purchased my first two kilts. Well, I finally got some time to take some pics and write about them. Please excuse the pictures since I did not have anyone to take them for me. When I get a picture of me wearing one, I will post it as well.

I did a lot of research before this purchase. I looked at every type of kilt imaginable from the most expensive to the least expensive. I looked at all the kilt makers on this site as well. I decided on UT Kilts for a couple of reasons. First, I wanted something a little less expensive. This being my first kilt, I was (and still) not sure what to expect when wearing it. I saw some places offering a half or semi traditional kilts for well over two hundred dollars. I would like to go for something like that one day, but it was a little it out of the price range. Anyways, this kilt was the right price. Second, the seller is local to me. I think most of you like to support local businesses.

Now, I am aware that these are Pakistani made kilts. From my research I gathered that some like them and some don't. For my 'trial' kilts I thought this would fit the bill. They looked good, feel even better, and were the right price. I feel like I made a good choice. The tartan kilt was $45 and the utility kilt was $60. Fantastic prices.

I am extremely please with the service of UT Kilts and their prices. They are great to work with.

Please be aware this is my first kilt. I have no way to compare this to a traditional kilt.

    Here are some pics.

I like the utility kilt. Is it a Cargo Kilt?

Congrats on the new kilts. I've also enjoyed working with Brice at UTK.

I appreciate the pics, but you realize that we're going to require pics of you wearing them, don't you?

Yes. He has them listed on his site. I really like it. Very functional and I started wearing it the moment I got it since no sporran was needed!

Yes! I did not have ANYONE to take them for me. I tried to do it myself but it did not work. I am terrible at taking pictures of other things, let alone myself. I will get them ASAP.

At least the utility kilts seems to be identical with the one sold by London-based Tartanista. The tartan kilt might be as well.

Hard to say for sure, but if it is, I got it for quite a bit less than what they are offering.

Congrats on the new kilts and wear them in good health. Just realize that you will soon need another closet (or a storage unit) for all the kilts you are going to end up buying.
