[QUOTE=Jay;945319]Hasselhoff is a tall guy. If he picked one off the rack, could be that it was this length, or something much shorter.
And I'd rather see it too low than to see the Hoff looking like a Catholic school girl with it above the knee[/QUOTE
I'd say that a kilt looks much better worn just above the knee than below it. Nothing worse than a kilt thats too long. Whats the significance of the Catholic schoolgirl comparison, or did I miss something

Even if not done perfectly, I think public exposure to kilt-wearing benefits everyone. Give the guy a break!

Most Catholic schools (both elementary and high schools) in the States have their students wear a uniform, most of which incorporate some sort of plaid (not tartan, but a two-or-three-color check pattern).
The stereotypical 'Catholic school-girl' wears a white shirt, knee-length (or slightly longer) plaid skirt, long (knee-length) socks and black patent-leather 'Mary Jane' shoes. Maybe a tie and/or waistcoat/jumper. The adult industry has tarted the look up by making the skirt VERY short, the shirt VERY tight, and a few other 'enhancements'.
I think the post in question was thinking of seeing Hassellhoff tarted up like the stereotypical 'adult fantasy Catholic schoolgirl'.

In the same article, apparently this is what passes for tartan according to the Daily Mail.
