Hello from Vancouver island, Canada!
Hello all, I'm a Macdonald born and raised in Canada. Recently met Steve from freedom kilts down the street from my house and am now awaiting traditional'ish kilts for me and my 7 year old son! We decided to go with Macdonald of clan ranald muted to honor our heritage and because the colors are nice... We are also planning on wearing the kilts for my marriage to my beautiful fiancé this summer here on the island. Our wedding will be quite casual on the beach and as such I'm looking for help from the forum to help me find some non traditional, semi formal ideas for my top half...im not really into the prince Charlie look or the kilt shirts, but would appreciate any links or pictures anyone would like to share with me!
Pleasure to meet all of you!

Welcome from rainy southern Oregon.
FWIW, I went to school with a MacDonald. She decided that due to the history between the MacQueens and the MacDonalds, we had to be distant cousins, and she's acted that way ever since.

from the Scottish Borders.
I also have a MacDonald bloodline.
I am looking forward to my next visit in March to Vancouver island where my relatives live, who knows I might even have the opportunity to meet up with you in Victoria and welcome you to the forum in person.

Hello Hislander,
Welcome to XMarks from the other side of the world in Norfolk, England.
I have no Macdonald ancestry, but I have been known to eat their burgers.
Regards
Chas
