If you can afford Doc Martins then you can afford ghillie brogues, which are the most Scottish-looking shoes available and which are much loved on kilted people everywhere- except of course in Scotland . But to answer your question, when I have to go kilted for long distances or lengthy periods I wear hiking boots or shoes. I even try to match colours and shades.

I never said i couldn't afford brogues. I said i haven't found any in a size 15 wide. I don't remember saying anything about money.
