I have a couple of long shirts in linen and silk from Missy Clark of Barkertown Sutlers. I can vouch for the quality and the good price.

Does anyone know where to get a swords man waist coat? or a good plain brown waistcoat for outfit during the 45?

Woodhseal,
Have you seen Peter Watkins' film Culloden? It was a black and white period film (shot "mocumentary style") done in the early 1960's and is rather interesting my opinion. You should definitely check it out if you haven't seen it already. It's availble on Netflix if you subscribe to that particular service. Beautiful pictures - you really have a great eye for detail and reconstructing history to a tee - I applaud you and am glad people like you are out there educating others who are keen.
Cheers,

Missy Clark as was being discussed here is one source.
There are plenty of other places making 1740's era clothing but most of them cut a lot of corners. The best rout to go is to make it your self or have some one who is utterly obsessed with the period make you one. My wife and I actually have our own business making English Civil War clothing through Rev War era clothing and we do it correctly. Hand sewing, natural dyes when possible, correct cut, correct fit, naturally dyed linen or wool thread.
My problem is that there is an exceptionally long wait for garments from me.
If you are in a hurry and dont care about the little details and absolute authenticity here are a few other sources.

Sure if you don't mind them not even remotely resembling anything from 1689-1746. If you are going to go that rout you might as well just buy any shirt from Wal-Mart and call it a "Jacobite" shirt.

The knowledge you are showing of the period is saddening. Perhaps a bit more research would serve you well. Or any research at all considering what you just said.
Some good fabric sources that would be correct for the 18th century.
