I had to answer "Both." The only place I won't wear a kilt is work, but that's mainly because anything I wear for my work gets worn out in a hurry, and I'd rather destroy a $15 pair of jeans.

Oh yeah...I'll never be on my roof in a kilt again. Nebraska wind plus sloped roof equals strong updraft and a few neighbors who no longer look me in the eye. And one who won't leave me alone.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

It's strange when people say they wear a kilt to lounge about the house. About the only other time my kilt comes off is when I'm in the house lounging. Then it is sweat pants and a robe.
I wore mine up a ladder just to get a reaction out of my wife."Honey, don't you know?, -you're not supposed to do that". I was being schooled in skirt etiquette.

I usually lounge around the house in my SportKilt comfy kilt and a robe as I am now.

I enjoy my kilt both indoors and out. Inside I enjoy various clean up chores and cooking and outside I like hiking, all for the swish of the kilt. It's no fun to just sit in the kilt.

The only time I don't wear mine is when I'm lounging at home. Why bother? Let's face it- it's a lot of work getting into a traditional kilt. If I'm at home doing nothing, I just want to wear my PJ's. Otherwise, it' kilt for me!

I enjoy wearing the kilt both indoors and out. But I have found that the most fun I have in a kilt is outdoors. Highland Games, Renaissance Festivals, hiking, and stuff like that. Being indoors usually involves sitting down, and the kilt is not at its best when seated. Gotta be up and moving around, and the fresh air from the outdoors makes the kilted experience much more wonderful.

    Ditto, except I don't wear a robe.

    I don't even own a robe!

Well, if only she could see you, you should have answered: “Honey, don’t you know? – only you are supposed to see that!”

Indoors I tend to sit, so - while I likely wear my kilt far more indoors than out - I prefer to wear it outdoors.

I voted "both" because I am a full time kilt wearer for 7 years now.
