OK, me being cranky again.... however, my point is that really....aren't there more important things to worry about. It's a bag to hold your keys, cell phone and wallet. sheesh. As long as it isn't totally over the top, what difference does it make?

Under the right circumstance that might go well with a rainbow colored kilt I saw.

Or it might work for some of the lady kilt wearers on the forum.

I'll be the first to admit that all of these accessories make a statement. For some of the rabble that statement doesn't mesh with their inner monologue. For others, it may ...

A sporran is a purse for a man (a murse?) it isn't worn over the shoulder but about the waist.

The question should be does a particular accessory work for me (and in some cases for the missus aka "She who must be obeyed")

If so! Ding a winner! If not back to the drawing board.

I now return you to your previously scheduled discussion.

Speaking as a lady kilt wearer...no...those won't work for me! They are truly and uniquely HIDEOUS!!! And as for working as a purse, don't think so unless all you carry is your keys...not big enough for a wallet and phone and makeup...plus, well, they are just ugly!
But if you disagree with me, well, that's your right as part of the statement making rabble! lol

Why does there have to a rule of logic applied to it Alan? If a Lady wishes to use a sporran as a handbag that's just smashin', more power to her. If a bloke wants to use a handbag as a sporran that's absolutely dandy too. It doesn't mean I have to or all ladies have to grab sporrans. It's about personal choice. You wear white socks, I wear black. I'm not keen on white socks... You don't like black! Sowhaa! I'm still sleeping easily because your choice is not my worry.

We are free to make whatever choices we like and on web fora like this we are free to exchange ideas as to why we make the choices we do with other folks who might be interested. I thought that was the point of being here.

Chill out mate, please stop lecturing everybody. Nothing on here is a matter of great importance and with respect, there's no need to brow-beat everyone who holds an opinion contrary to yours.

I'm not trying to light your fuse by the way... If you think I am, before you go off like a ten bob rocket, just have a quick re-read of your post above and see it from the readers perspective.

EDIT: I'm not a member of the order of the dandelion either.

    Because I'm logical.

As for lecturing, I'm unlikely to stop any time soon.

As for the ten bob rocket, I think people have some image of me sitting here at this desk, pounding my fist on the table and foaming at the mouth while I type. Nothing could be further from the truth.
