Steam the wrinkles out. No need to press, they'll fall out with the steam...portable steamers are best. Then put it on and see what it looks like hanging from your body.

    Hopefully, all good then.

When considering a kilt purchase remember you can have any two of price, quality, or service.

Sorry for the delay in answering queiries but i have had to work for the last two weeks and it's not what i am accustomed too.

As for the kilt, it is brand new and 16oz Lochcarron strome and is the 3rd kilt I have purchased from the source. Customer service and product pride from this source has been going downhill with each order. This is the first kilt I have recieved from them which has had no seperate wrapping apart from the box. Last time it was plastic and the first time was tissue and plastic.

In relation to the comparision regarding a new pair of shoes, if I paid the same amount for a pair of new shoes, yes I would expect them to be ready to wear when I took them out of the box. In fact I have purchased shoes costing less and the salesmans jnr gave them a buff as I paid for them.

As I have said I have had 2 other kilts from this source and have steamed both before wearing and fully expected to steam this one, which I have done and hung for the last 18hrs, unfortunately the creases in in the lwr quarter are still there so a pressing will be done.

As I previously said, I expect to steam a new kilt arriving from O/S. I have purchased 11 woolen kilts from Scotland, the US and Australia. This from memory, is the only one that has not come up to the standard I expect, upon delivery.
