    Elbow patches, when needed, leather edging around the cuffs etc, when needed are fine, but leather shoulder pads, particularly when not needed, smacks of pseudo-ism to me. To my eyes it looks awful.

    I am tempted at this price. The shoulder patches would be quite appropriate for shooting.

    I don't generally wear a kilt for shooting or hunting but did once. I had been out at a pheasant club I have been a member of for many years and the President made a remark about the tattered and torn canvass coveralls I generally wear for this kind of hunting.

    The next time I went I wore my kilt, best Barbour, a tweed tie and Deer Stalker hat. My knees got all scratched up but he has never commented on my attire since.

    At this price I could afford to have the jacket just for this type of activity, however the colours look kind of "off" to me.
