That is a startling (and all the more startling because it is common) misrepresentation of the government programs in this country. Let's just stop that before it goes somewhere we don't want to be.

That pic is from Dressed to Kilt 2011 if it hasn't been noted yet.

Thank-you Tommy for a little human dignity.
We might be a little off topic, but I don't think we're fighting.

I was only about 5 then and didn't care about hockey, but I've seen the replays. It was an awesome moment.

Yes, please stop. I'm not about to explain in a Canadian joke, the process of how the Canadian system works to two Canadians who are playfully arguing about the greatest moment in Canadian hockey.
This definitely not the place to discuss politics, hence the joke.

Please do not take offense; I merely wish to prevent a discussion of politics. Even at the best of times it is unwise to discuss politics in an open forum. In the interest of civility I only wish to caution us all away from it. Truce?

No offense taken and no truce necessary. Our two hockey 'combatants' recognized the joke in my statement. My only mistake was not to use a smiley. I tend to feel that they are over used in this forum and I sometimes err in my resistance to use them.

I'm still wondering if anybody can see and recognize the tartan Chris Noth was wearing.
