A Happy Kilted Easter!
Ok - so I grew a pair and had a kilted Easter Sunday today. Aside from a single Burns Dinner (with my daughter), it was my first kilted outing. My kids were thrilled, and my wife a little dubious - but supportive. The reaction at church was very positive, and since I was the only kilted soul there (there's only 2-3 others I've ever seen kilted before) - I had a bit more attention than I'm used to. I'll admit to being a bit nervous when I realized early this morning that I was scheduled to be head-usher this week, but I'd already made the decision and decided to stick with it.
Hopefully, I managed the look - I'll let the Rabble decide. The tank is from Scotweb, the jacket was cut-down by a local tailor, and yes - those are ghillie brogues (sorry, but my kids like them, and I'm weak). I would have preferred a fancier sporran, but Rocky's hasn't arrived yet (to be clear, I ordered it Friday night, and it shipped Sat morning - so it'll be here tomorrow. That's quick!).
Cheers.
