Are we picking distilleries or specific whiskies? Mine is Ardbeg Uigeadail.

Jock - for what it's worth, whenever I have a Talisker I always think of you and thank whatever gods there may be that you're still with us.

Based on the criteria and going along with the above statements, my favorite would have to be OP.
Other Peoples At least that way I would have one of my many favorites at some point.

I would choose Glenmorangie, it's all I've been drinking for years. But my whiskey drinking days are waning and it's been the same bottle for about 3 years now. But the empty wine bottles are on the increase...

American (Tennesee); Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. I've been a JD drinker since my teens.
Irish; Jameson 15. I was happy with the regular blended Jameson till I had this.
Scots; Currently Macallen 12. I try many different Scots whiskies from time to time, so it could change.

So many yet to taste in comparison to the few that I have tasted.
If I had to choose from the relative few in my experience, it would be a toss up between Sherry cask aged Glenmorangie, and the current bottle of The Macallan Cask Strength. Although a runner up would be The Glenlivet Nadurra. But only because my 89 year old, neighbor declared it a fine sipping whisky, to be savored and enjoyed, as opposed to an 'everyday drinking whisky'.

For me Its hard to beat Balvenie 12 yr double wood aged,
that sherry cask does wonders to a fine scotch.
For an Irish my usual is Jamerson

Gentlemen, the idea of this thread is to pick ONE, not muse about your top few!!! I'm not naming any names but you know who you are
