Happy Birthday and Well Done. A really good looking kilt. And, of course, now that you know how to do it, you should keep these skills honed - and start the next kilt!

    Regards

I am hoping to sew another kilt at a New York Kilt Camp in June. Mark picked out a different tartan, a McDuff Hunting I believe it was. It's a pretty tartan, with a lot of blue in it. I am hoping I can save up enough money to go to camp again and see some of my new friends I met at Elsie's camp. I think the second kilt will be a little easier than the first.

He should be smiling with four prom dates!

    Nice job! Looks great.

It looks good on him and he looks great in it. It is incredible that this is your first effort at sewing a kilt. It just does not look like a first kilt. Anyone would be proud to wear a kilt this fine.

Very, very nice. And Happy Birthday into the bargain!

Thank you for your complements. This is my first kilt, but I must tell you that I was lucky enough to attend one of Elsie Struemeyer's five day kilt camps and got very good instruction from her and the other experienced attendees, including Prairieteri and Patty S. It was a wonderful experience and I learned a lot. I didn't finish the kilt at camp, but when I came home, I got more advice from Prairieteri via email. She was so willing to answer all my questions as they came up. I look forward to making my next kilt!
