A warm Scottish welcome from middle England. I never tried wearing my kilt on my BSA. The variable weather here might have made it a bit of a lottery. Bike's gone now, but not kilts.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Welcome from the Hill Country! I used to live in San Angelo as a child, and then up the road in Robert Lee. My younger brother still lives out there in S'nangelo with his wife. That area has always been one of my favorite parts of Texas.

You dont ride do you? I've been down to the Bandera area a few times and love it down there.
To every one, thank you. This is by far the nicest welcome I've gotten from any forum I've joined!

Well... uh... I actually live just outside of Bandera! I recently sold both my Harleys, though, and not without regret. I agree - the Hill Country provides the best motorcycle riding in Texas. Every year I see more and more motorcyclists coming out here on weekends, and they've been developing some pretty big rallies in Bandera (one of which was just a few weeks ago). It's tough on the locals, though, when a town of less than a thousand people gets invaded by close to 10,000 bikers for the weekend!

Hi, Vyscera, and welcome to X Marks.
I am not a motorcyclist, but a good friend of mine who goes on the internet by the name of Piperjames (he does weddings, funerals, military parades) often rides a bike wearing a kilt. He does make sure he tucks it in!
Regards,
Mike
