Well done, ehiker – getting the lad into the right frame of mind at an impressionable age!

Great photos! I love the hand knit sweater, as well. Our boys have all been baptized in a wee kilt we made for them by pleating up a scarf.

    Congratulations.
As it turns out, my son will be getting his first kilt to any day now (it's in transit). Of course, he is 36 years old (We got it for his birthday - which is today). I am very much looking forward to going to our first highland game on May 14th with both of us kilted (MacTavish Modern).

Glad to be of service, Janderson! PM me if you want to know where I got his kilt. From what I can tell, the material is kilt-quality wool. I think it cost about $25 or so. And they generally have quite a few tartans to chose from.

And thanks for all the comments, everyone. He's the thing I've made (with help, naturally) so far that I'm most proud of.

That said, now that the little guy is in more of a routine, and my workshop is close to being finished, I do have a few sgian dubh boxes I'm working on, so keep an eye out for some updates in the DIY section.

One of them should look pretty amazing, if I can pull it off! I'm excited to give it a try, anyway!

    Cheers,

    Ethan
