Thanks everybody! Jock Scot, I believe they had some sort of messenger back then. Since I can't hire someone to talk to girls for me, cellular phones are the next best option. Macmillan's son, my day did end much better than his. No hooks and splitting my body to send them in opposite directions. ...I hope....-checks body- I appear intact, at least.

The T-shirt and wristbands add a lot of authenticity.

    Welcome aboard.

Looks like you had fun. By the way, William Wallace probably never wore a kilt. The movie Braveheart was full of historical inaccuracies.

I always wear those wristbands. And the t-shirt, I originally planned on painting some playing-cards black and taping them to the shirt to look like the armor the Scottish wore in the movie. But the other theatre kids don't have a talent for planning (they create headaches among everyone involved...) and I only had about a days worth of notice for the banquet. So I worked with what I had. Didn't go for accuracy as much as I went for awesome. This probably wont be the last time I dress as Braveheart, either. I always like an excuse to paint my face in some way or another. If I get to wear a kilt and carry a sword too, I'm so in!

Right. First off he was a Lowlander.

[MacSeinfeld] No' tha' there's anythin' wrang wi' that!! [/MacSeinfeld]

Second, if he was doing the Gaidheal thang. . .At that time period it would have been a leine and brat in the Irish fashion, not a feileadh mor/great kilt.
