Maybe it's just me, but the idea of putting a "mound of brown" beneath the rearing zebra instantly brought another scenario to mind. . . guess that means I should go join MacLowlife in the gutter LOL

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

While the visual might be, uh, subject to interpretation, the blazon would read, azure upon a mound of earth in base proper a zebra forcene, also proper.
Perhaps with the motto: I've earned my stripes.

Thank you for writing out the blazon.
And yes, the stripes are important, but so is the sky and ground.

I like the Zebra design...very interesting and uncommon in regards to heraldry. Scott has all the right suggestions; such a wonderful authority on all matters concerning heraldry...thank you for your contributions over the years Scott!!!

I think I'd compress it further to azure on a mound of earth a zebra forcene proper. It is understood that everything after the word azure and before the word proper is...well, proper.

Absolutely... the heraldic tautology in the blazon is unnecessary (and probably the result of my dashing it out under the influence of pain killers at 1:30 in the morning!).

Thanks I am saving that picture.
And thinks for the clarification. Hope MOR's pain situation gets better soon.

I really should have shrunk the image down to eliminate some of the graininess (or left the whole thing to somebody who knows more than MS Paint for graphic design) - but I hope it serves your purposes.
And I'd like to echo the hope for Rathdown's speedy recovery!
