Tartan Cuff Kilt Hose
McCalls, one of the biggest highland outfitters in Scotland now supply kilt hose with a tartan cuff http://bit.ly/lKj1KG to match their Pride Kilts collection http://bit.ly/mE2nDq. I hear they're a popular rent and buy for weddings these days.
It follows the trend for kilts at weddings (certainly in Scotland) to use very dark tartans, sometimes even plain black. I've also seen many weddings where the outfits worn by guest are Prince Charlie or even relatively informal Swordsman jackets http://bit.ly/mR9l1o. A glance at the wedding notice section of any Scottish local paper that publishes photos quickly shows the variety of outfits being worn.
It really comes down to personal preference, it's quite normal in Scotland to see all three types of outfit at the same wedding, even if it does look a bit odd. I think in many cases men buy one kilt outfit, and that gets used for every wedding thereafter, regardless of what the other guests are wearing.
