Because he really needs MORE reassurance that it would look "way totally awesome with a kilt" on him....

Thanks guys. Somehow I knew I could always count on you. "But dad, how can these guys be crackpots? Remember how you told me that these guys really know what they are talking about and that I should listen to them when it comes to kilt wear? You said they know LOTS more about fashion and stuff than YOU do"

And just when I was about to start steering him towards tweeds.... <shaking head>

tweed and chains don't really go together.

Besides, he can always wear tweed when he finished college, you're only young once.

    The Headcoats huh?

Gonna see if I can find some of their music, but even if they play like Dio, it would be pretty hard to watch on stage!

Wow, nearly every reply to this has amused me very much. The ones from my dad in particular. But that's mainly because he's my dad and he pokes us (mother and I) about MCR and Harry Potter and etc. He's the comedian we all love ("Aye, wiseguy?" in Curley's voice ). But anyways, that jacket is really quite a find. I'm surprised I didn't find it first, myself. Tweed will get me sooner or later, but I got a ways to go before it gets me. For now, WANT THAT JACKET!!!

Here is a link to the thread talking about the MCR black parade jacket by Criminal Damage that Slackerdrummer reposted:
    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...-jacket-64908/

You can buy them from Violent Delights in the UK. They have both a website and an eBay UK page; the prices are the same and they do ship overseas. The black parade jackets come up used on eBay UK (not as much on .com or .ca) every now and again, so bide your time and you might get one very cheaply!

If you do get one, make sure to take pics and post them for us to see. When I first found that jacket I swore it was made for kilting...

Given the theme, I would personally recommend a mouse skull kilt pin... In one of the photos it seems that the front apron is coming up in the breeze, and this would be just the thing to keep it in place!

    Maybe something alone THESE lines?
