And since you cleaned it before taking some "before" pictures, you need to go smear some more silicone adhesive on it so we can see "before" and "after" pics.

    And the verdict is?

    The finished washed up kilt:

    Close up on the area

    from a distance

This one you can see it clearly, but that cause the light is hitting it right where the kilt is hanging over the table.

From the pictures you can't tell anything was spilled on it. Great job! I'll keep this in mind for future reference. Thanks.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

And keep in mind to follow your heart....
Get it to wash and water ASAP but it might be OK....kilts are made to live tough.

I've also used Isopropyl Alcohol whenever I dribbled rod building finishes and epoxies on my work slacks. The trick is getting to it FAST, as you did. I would recommend that you get an apron, but I have 3 in my workshop that I never wear. I'm afraid I might spill something on them. Stains or spots of glue on my slacks are one thing (they are only pants), but a dirty apron? Well that just looks sloppy.... There's logic in there somewhere... I think.

If you want an apron, I'll send you one of mine. Outside the dust, they should be fairly pristine
