    According to my Knitter wife that is a good thing. Anything over fingering weight would look awful.

    don't ask my why that is because I'm not a Knitter...

    About the yarn size...
    The smaller the yarn is the better my heels feel. My weight is spread out over more surfaces, which eliminates the yarn from digging into my heels. I've made hose from worsted weight yarn, and don't wear them anymore because the bigger yarn is uncomfortable to wear.
