I am interested. BTW, I did not get notified of the discussion and am wondering if I have an incorrect setting somewhere - I am subscribed to group discussions.

I ran late on Saturday and missed y'all at TSF& HG (there got all the letters in). Great pic of the group. When I saw the photo I realized I walked past several of you in the crowd during the day.

When did you subscribe? It's been a quiet group (Drac posted sometime in the afternoon yesterday I believe), and if you only just subscribed you might not have received anything yet, or won't until something else is posted (there is a bit of a delay of notifications).

I'll send a note to one of the mods so they can perhaps look into it a little more. I haven't had any trouble with the notifications myself, and am unsure where an issue might be if there are any settings or odd bugs in the software.

I'm about to do a test post in the group for members who are already subscribed.

If you subscribe after I have posted, you may not get a notification. This is just to help test those who are currently subscribed and wondering if it's working.

Please remember it will take a while most likely before you receive any emails -- it might be later tonight or even in the morning before it shows up.

Make sure to check your spam folders in the email you're using for this forum, it could possibly have ended up in there.

I just checked to see if there was a subscription option in the user CP for social groups, and I didn't see anything yet. I do receive emails when I get PMs, but that is different. I would think just subscribing to the group should do it.

Hopefully this will help you check if you are subscribed (and sorry Drac for chatting about this in your thread -- I want to make sure those who are interested in kilt nights and events are able to keep in touch when someone posts about them).

If there are still problems, contact a moderator or we could always set up a thread for help in the tech section of the board.

Test posted at 8:17am CST. Hope it helps everyone check if their settings are working.

Okay, one more thing for you guys to check on the social group notifications (after this, I'll try to just take it to the Tech section)....

    Try using this link: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/g...bscription.php

If that link doesn't work, then go to the Social Groups page and scroll down to the bottom left. You'll see a list of options... one of them is "Group Subscriptions."

Then you'll have a list of the groups you're subscribed to. You should see a drop down box that gives you options -- including daily mail, weekly mail, and no mail. Check the settings for the groups you are subscribed to, and select them and make changes if they're not the way you would like them to be.

    Hopefully that will help!
