Let's not forget the Patriots that started this recent run of championships!

That is the only fatality that I'm aware of happening in Boston during our city's recent championship run.
Sorry if I misquoted. I heard it on the news the night of that it was three people who tragically died after the super bowl.
Boston was the better team and I knew we would have trouble with Tim Thomas if he got hot. What a series he had!!

Thomas played out of his mind, that's for sure... though not without some help from his friends and a little old-fashioned luck, too!
Meanwhile Luongo certainly did nothing to quiet his detractors; the Jekyll-and-Hyde act was truly mystifying. I hope for his -- and the Canucks' -- sake he spends some time with a good sports psychologist this summer. Granted he's a pro, but his issues are clearly in his head and the extra weight of feeling you likely cost your team a championship *can* be a career-killer.
Boston did play better overall throughout the series, but I think the Canucks will learn and grow from this much as the B's did from their experience in the '09-'10 playoffs. Rematch next year?

I would at least like to see the old St. Pats make it. It has been a while for them.
