Wow... that's a pretty large sporran! It would be nice to see a zoomed-out pic showing how it looks in scale to the rest of you. I do kinda like that it hides the snaps on the front of your UK.
Yeah, Conway buckles are a bit difficult for everyday opening/closing purposes. They are meant more for applications where adjustments are made rarely... like on bridles and other horse tack. But they do look good.
