Hey!
Wow, some seriously quick greetings here from you guys! That is very nice to see, and sure does make one feel part of the gang so to speak!
I see that there are a lot of people living all over the globe on here, and its pretty cool to see that the appreciation of this uniquely cool garment is wider reaching than the British Isles! I wonder what what you get asked by intrigued passer-bys, when dressed in a kilt in say Australia!!
I once got asked by some Asian Tourists by London bridge if I was Scottish. I just said no, am wearing it because I think it looks cool. I was then asked to pose for a bunch of photos with them, with my gf taking the pics! When someone does something out of the ordinary, obviously in a positive - perhaps in some peoples minds, eccentric way, then it can serve as a rather unique ice-breaker and its great to discuss others views and get their perspective on it. Most often, this is a positive dialogue. Very rarely I find people overtly negative or condescending.
Perhaps this indicates a general acceptance of such things, with the majority of folks happy to see such things. But - too shy to do likewise.
