TheMacfie was honored at a corporate function, to which he invited me. Here we are, at the end of a great evening (which accounts for the condition of my collar ). We're both wearing kilts from Frugal Corner. Mine is the Clergy/Clarke and his is the Pride of Scotland.

You look sharp! Well done, though of course having a lovely lass on your arm makes any man look 100% better.

Inspired by the Wizard of BC, I thought I would try Brown Accessories with the Isle of Skye, I've owned this kilt for over a year but I've not really thought about wearing it with brown hose etc., so thanks Steve. The details of the outfit are that I'm wearing my Isle of Skye kilt, the hose are Brown from Lochcarron, Lovat Green garter ties from the Scottish Tartan Museum, the Sgian Dubh is from the Sgian Dubh Company range, the Sporran is my Thorfinn with the matching Isle of Skye flap, the tie I found at my local tartan shop and is a really interesting weave, and the Argyll is a Harris Tweed with horn buttons.

That's a real winner. You know, I really should wear brown accessories with my kilt. I never do even though I have a brown belt and sporran. Anyway, the outfit looks great.

Here's me in my new FC Wallace 13 oz.

And myself in my SWK Standard Royal Stewart, and my business partner. I love the vest, found it in a thrift store.

Lastly, my SWK Standard Royal Stewart with a different look, and a sporran hung way too low.

Royal Naval Tartan with my Lovat Blue Argyll my Ferguson Britt skunk sporran with Hawick Saltire Hose, the shirt is not a solid blue rather it is made up of white and blue, the tie is a navy blue one from the House of Edgar range, I have found over the past year that if you are to wear a tie with your kilt the best thing to do is to go to your local tartan shop and get your ties there not only can you match the colour to your tartan but they are the correct length for wearing with a kilt. I always wear a solid tie with the kilt I think it just looks right.

I like those saltire hose Glen, but I am really inspired by your previous post with the brown/ Isle of Skye colors. I think I may have to join you in that look if you don't mind blatant fashion theft!
