Gentlemen,
As a newcomer to the site I appreciate the time you are taking for those not used to wearing a “set of kit”. However, for the benefit of your readers the least obvious items in your pictures but the most neglected item of kit is footwear.
It’s the last thing a person will look at but their condition and choice speaks volumes about a man
Respect the kilt …polish your boots.

The first thing I look at is a man's shoes. They speak volumes.

Yes, there is an old saying about how do you tell if a fellow is wearing a $1000 suit... just look at his shoes.

As a new guy to this forum, I have to say that I *love* this thread. It's been full of inspiration and has given me all sorts of evil ideas.
I can't wait to finish my diet so I can order a pile of cool threads.
For now, I have a couple of less expensive "casual kilts" and "sporty kilts" that I don't mind having to discard as the weight continues to drop, and I also have a full PC kit from back when I had a 36" waist (mumblety-five) years ago.
(Oh, and I love the comparison of the kilt to the "little black dress" -- yes, it does go with everything. )

It really makes me happy that people still find this project that Glen and I did years ago to still be useful. It makes me smile!
Cheers

It has been three years since it was first posted. Maybe that is long enough of an interval. Is it time, Jamie to re-visit it and see if any parts need overhauling or updating? Not that there is anything wrong, but given enough time all modes of dress go out of fashion. We see pictures of the Duke of Windsor wearing a kilt, but forget that they were taken 80 years ago. Fashion and styles change.
As the OP, only you will know just how you were pitching things and exactly what look you were after. That and the fact that you have acquired more accessories in the last three years might make it a tempting proposition.
It would be interesting to see if things have changed in that time, or if we are still doing the same. Are we in the grove or are we in a rut?
Just a thought.
Regards
Chas
