I've added this to my single malt todo list. I'm all about the peat monsters!

The only Auchentoshen available to me locally is the Classic, which I find very smooth. I would imagine Auchentoshen 12 must be slick as glass!
Tonight, I continue to fill my Glencairn Glass with The Black Grouse. int:

At the end of another cold winter's day, I just finished my Christmas gift bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask, and now I'm a little sad. Oh for a magical self-replenishing bottle...

I'm a big fan of that malt. I have mourned the passing of a few bottles of it myself.

thats the 10yo Macallan finished. A useful tip. Have a look around the cupboards of old relatives, especially ones that dont dring much/horde stuff, ask first if you must. I was asked to put some stuff away in a big old cupbaord by my mother-in-law. I had to clear a space and found:1988 bottle of 18yo Macallan1953 (I think) bottle of Chivas Regal, complete with a sealed tag stating "bottled for the coronation of HM Queen Liz II"

My daughter presented me with a bottle of Glenmorangie Lasanta - a dram I was unfamiliar with. Very nice - smooth and a bit fruity/spicy - with hint of sherry from the casks. Lighter than what I normally drink but very nice after dinner.

My first single malt was Glenmorangie The Original. I've had The Quinta Ruban (port cask extra matured) but have not tried The Lasanta yet. They also have The Nectar D'Or (Sauternes cask extra matured) that I'd like to try. int:
