I only own two kilts. Both are USA Kilts philabegs. On two seperate occasions I have been stopped by Scots (as in from Scotland) who are both surprised and thrilled to see a man in a kilt walking the streets of Philadelphia.
There are some really odd people out there who seem to think that a kilt can only be made of a certain material or worn with certain accessories. It is and has always been an evolving garment.

You weren't supposed to see that comment Rob
Don't worry, I'm naturalised!
and yes, I'm looking forward to seeing you next weekend for our very first southern kilt gathering, look out Hobart!!
Do you like a dram?, there's a fine distillery down near the docks, I like to go in there and taste a few whiskys when I'm in Hobart.

Hi there Graham
Yes I do like a small Dram (or 2 occasionally)
I take it you are refering to the "Lark" distillery. I have not been in there for a few years so would be keen to try their latest drop!
Drop me a line when you know your plans and we will meet down on the docks. The wooden boat festival is huge this year with over 300 boats including the James Craig on her first ocean voyage since restoration so the call is to get a park early or be prepared for a long walk.
Cheers
Rob
