Careful, you are painting with an awfully broad brush. Hold whatever opinion you wish, but I suspect that this thread contains some statements could be considered libelous.
A quick search will net you many happy customers as well.

Oh yes, and their jackets!! Also lovingly made by expert toddlers in sweatshops somewhere near the highland heartland of Calcutta. Think Asda (or Walmart) on a really bad day, and you won't come close. No, make that the 99 cent store.
And finally to their outfits... If you really want to feel a total clown, firstly for how embarrassing how you look, and secondly for wasting a heapload of cash when you thought you were saving it, here's your deal. Combine rubbish with rubbish and that's what you get. Am I giving you a flavour?
And while I'm on it, thank you for the personal insult. There are many pics of me in one of their kilts on this board and no one else has ever accused me of looking a clown.

Um, David. I think you want to go back and edit your post using the quote feature, otherwise it looks like you're the one saying the things you take umbrage with.
Best regards,
Jake

You're also taking issue with a post from nearly two years ago. Your offense may still be valid, but just wanted to point out the age of the post in case you missed it.

Unfortunately it's buyer beware in some cases. There are a lot of cheep knock offs out there made offshore. If the price doesn't fit the true cost of the product then theres a chance it's a poorly made knock off. There being sold here and overseas and all you can do is not buy them.

Or, perhaps, Jerry is the one who needs instruction in truth.
David Thornton's posts in this thread are well-taken. Not everyone lets snobbery and racism guide their buying decisions.

Hornet's nest, meet pokey stick.
Pokey stick, meet hornet's nest.
Let's at least pretend to be civil here folks. Thread necromancy, barbed remarks, this thread has all kinds of wrong. Personal attacks even. Let's not do that.

Errrr, David, can I just point out that the date on the original post is 26 April 2005? I cannot see much need to be so offended with a post that is nearly 2 years old. Here, let me buy you a cold one -

One thing that may have changed in the last two years is that ScotlandShopDirect would appear to be more "upmarket" as they have higher priced articles and say that some are made in Scotland.
Certainly where it doesn't say one must assume that the article isn't.
Click on the "about us" link and it shows the Heritage of Scotland shop...
