Yep, they fixed my nearsightedness & astigmatism in one shot.
The only drawback is that they said farsightedness tends to happen a little sooner after having the procedure.
I began noticing this effect a few months ago. If I hold somthing about 3 or 4 inches from my eyes I can no longer focus on it. Of coarse that distance will get longer & longer until I can no longer hold things far enough away to see them, but that just comes with getting older anyway & I'm 38 already & wearing reading glasses will be less of a pain than wearing glasses full time.

Snipe, I had it done about two years ago, at 60 years of age. My eyes were getting worse and worse. I was having to get new glasses every year. The day after my surgery, I could drive without glasses, read road signs before I got so close I couldn't make the turn, and even read license plate numbers of passing vehicle. I'd been unable to do those things just a day or so before, when I was still a slave to my glasses. Two years later, I still see no significant change in my vision. I consider it one of the best things I've ever spent money on in my life.

I wore bifocals before I had it done. My doctor does a special procedure in that case, where one eye is done for distance vision and the other for close vision.. You would think that that would be a problem, but it hasn't for me. I don't even notice it. I have no problems at all with depth perception, or anything else that you might expect. I guess your brain just compensates for the difference.

I've had astigmatism and worn glasses since I was four, and I'll be seventy this year . My eyesight has not deteriorated in the past eight years and I just don't think I look 'right' without a pair of specs on my face, so I really don't think I'll be looking at any surgery now thank you!
You want to have this treatment, so go for it. I am sure it will be a great success.
All the Best, and

I looked at all these types of procedures, but they aren't for me. Being in aviation, there are just too many variables I'm not comfortable with. As long as my eyes continue to pass my medical, I'll stick with glasses or contacts. Actually wear glasses more now than my contacts.
