Welcome aboard sir! What part of NM are you from? I lived in Clovis (my father was stationed at the local air force base) from birth until age 5.

Welcome from Mid-Missouri, and congratulations on the July wedding. After your bride sees you in the kilt, she may insist that you purchase several more.

I'm from Hobbs, about two hours south of Clovis/ Canon AFB. I'm former Air Force myself... had a few good friends make their way up there. They hated that base, but the damned Air Force would never send me there even though I begged for it! haha.
As far as the addiction: yeah, I'm afraid I have been bitten. I already have a few other kilts in mind. I'm really considering a couple from stillwater because they're SO affordable that I wouldn't be so worried and truly wear it "casually." I could easily see myself wearing one full time (well work insists on pants for safety reasons, but other than that...)

Welcome from the Canyonlands of Arizona.
I have an idea if you've an interest.
Kathy Lare, a kiltmaker over in Albuquerque, is one of the few - or maybe the only - U.S. Kiltmaker trained at the Keith School in Scotland. She has years of experience.
Maybe, if your lady met her, or saw her work, she'd appreciate and "allow" a fine handsewn tank in an appropriate tartan (Kathy can order any tartan) at your wedding. Kilts are all the rage for weddings now.
Kathy's website is www.kathyskilts.com and she's one nice lady.
