    I've been working on it for 40 yrs and I still have to keep acquireing.

    That's not a new drink at all. Just about every Irish pub will serve what's known as a "black and tan"...Guinness and any light lager. The Black Velvet is just a newer variation.

    The thing with those drinks is.....as you become accustomed to the taste...gradually ask for less and less mix....sooner than you know it, you'll be able to drink the Guinness by itself. Next time you have one.....have a drink for me too. yummy!
