    Kilted Night out!

I decided today, for the first time ever, to hit some pubs while clad in kilt.

I went to a local pub called Coat of Arms. Before settling in at that pub, I made a sweep of the town of Portsmouth, NH. I did see one other kilted gent (looked like he was wearing a Black Watch kilt). In my "travels" I received many "nice outfit." I was sporting my SWK Irish National Economy, my Vans sneakers, ankle socks, and a Boston Bruins hockey jersey.

It was a decent night, and the kilt was well received.
All I need to do now is contact the pub and see if they'll sponsor a kilt night!

    Irish National + Boston jersey.

You just can't get much more "Irish American" than that.

My wife made the same comment... not to mention that the orange piping on the jersey went WONDERFULLY well with the orange stripes in the kilt!

Much fun was had. And, flame me if you will, I finally found a way I can tolerate Guiness! The pub makes what they call a "Black Velvet." They float Guiness on my favorite cider (that would be the Strongbow)... it's actually pretty good.

After seeing Germans drink "cola beer" (exactly what it sounds like: cola + pilsner beer) and "banana-weisen" (banana pulp + heffewesien) nothing seems odd to me!

See, all the fear is just in your mind, nothing ever significantly bad really happens while kilted. But next time leave the Guiness for the real men and stick to the Strongbow for yourself!

I knew I'd end up getting well flamed for the Guinness comments. That's fine.
