    Cool uniform website!
I've considered getting kilts for a number of teams I like:

My hometown South Carolina Gamecocks -Hard to find a tartan that has a matching garnet to the Cocks.

Montreal Canadiens- Theres a few that could work- just none that I'm crazy about.

Carolina Hurricanes- Rob Roy tartan should work fine

LA Lakers- I have no idea!

If you are interested in uniforms:
    http://www.ssur.org/

It has very good links to various uniform history based sites.
One of my favorite, based on one of my best baseball reference books:
    http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/ex...s/database.htm

    Thanks for the help/opinions.
I printed out a copy of the uniform from shop.nhl.com and a copy of the tartan taken from the Freedom Kilts website (showing Steve's custom embriodery by using the X Marks patch over X Marks tartan). Assuming the hues are close to correct, the correspond GREAT!!!!

Now, should one tuck in the hockey jersey, or let it hang (my big "old" dark Thrashers jersey covers half the kilt)?

PS-> Warrior's black and Purple works GREAT with CLEMSON ORANGE!!!!!!

OK , I live in the DEEP south. Us is JUST getting that ice-stick stuff (in worst bad "southern" accent), wha is 'verse gate won styl'?.

Really, I was taken to a Flames game or 2 back in the 70s (I was a wee-lad) in Atlanta. I next went to a game in the early 90s when the IHL Atlanta Knights came to be (as part of a deal at the creation of the Lightning-> from what I understand, Atlanta and Tampa folded their bids together with Atlanta getting a top minor team to "test the market" with an "assured bid" in the next expansion round if attendance sustained certain acceptable levels). I went to ALOT of Knights games, including when they won the Turner Cup in 1994. I also made a few Greenville Growl, now defunct, games. I have never ACTUALLY made it an NHL game yet. I am a relative novice in hockey stuff. So, what EXACTLY is "Gretsky-style," and then "reverse Gretsky style?"

On a side note, Southern hockey ALWAYS cracks me up. Everywhere else, it is a "beer and nachos/bratwurst" crowd, while down here it is "wine and cheese." It is not uncommon for a decent chunk of the crowd to be in blazers/coat and ties! The ones who do the "funky chicken" (me) get WEIRD looks by the REST of the crowd (but ALWAYS make the jumbotron REPEATEDLY). Can't WAIT to do it in a kilt at a Thrashers game, just IMAGING the strange looks.

In the early years of the Oilers, Wayne Gretzky tucked in only the right side of his jersey at his hip. To reverse that you could tuck in everything but the right side. Please keep in mind that it was said in jest, but I am always happy to educate people on the greatest hockey player alive.

If we keep winning I don't care what the jersey looks like, not a big fan of the slug, but after watching every game so far this season it is starting to grow on my.
